Job description:

(1) MSc Fellowship The application to a Master Fellowship is opened at the Advanced Services Unit of Biocant, Association for Transfer Technology, in Cantanhede , Portugal. Scientific Domain: Bioinformatics Candidate ’s Profile Master in bioinformatics, computational biology, molecular biology, computer science or related field with e x pe rie nce in m anagement of large datasets (preferably with high throughput sequencing data, 454 and Illumina), transcriptomic and genomic data and in-depth expression analyses. Programming experience in Python, Java/C++ and SQ L language (MySQ L, Postgre SQ L). Strong back ground in Linux system administration and facilities operations. Proficiency administering core servers and storage systems running on Linux . Subject of Activities: Development and validation of methodology to interpret variants ingenomes/e x om e s. Bioinformatics support for functional and comparative genomics projects. Legislation and Regulations:
