Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
Advise and manage the recruitment process in accordance with current headcount budget and approval guidelines. This will include the development of job descriptions, preparing advertisements, managing resource suppliers, interviewing, reference checking and issuing relevant contract documentation.
Employee Relations
Actively supporting and advising managers on employment legislation and best practice employee relations for the successful management of day to day HR matters. This will include managing all disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, absenteeism, performance management issues and employment tribunal claims. You will be required to keep up to date with relevant legislation and to ensure all processes are followed in line with current policies. To conducts exit interviews and analyse data to makes recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement.
L&D
To advise management on the employee talent, succession and learning and development plan by promoting and coordinating the myPDR and talent process and analysing all development needs. This will require sourcing and organising internal and external training, In addition you will plan and deliver HR training to include inductions for new staff, and policy / procedure / legislation and performance management training as necessary.
Reward & Recognition
To advise management, on pay and other remuneration issues by involvement in the administration and negotiation of annual salary reviews, salary negotiations, bonus schemes and general terms and conditions (compensation and benefits). To provide effective internal communication recognising employee achievements.
Engagement
To promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation and to encourage employee engagement within GPTW.
Policies and Procedures
To write, review and take overall responsibility for all Iberia working policies in accordance with Spain and Portugal legislation.
Other
• Actively participate in HR meetings & projects
• Maintain all existing personnel records both manual and computerised
• Production of various reports and statistics as required
• The ability to research and analyse various different type of data information.
Skills and experience required:
• Degree at the University (Law, psychology, economy).
• Broad all round HR experience at management team level
• Experience in dealing with all aspects of HR practice including grievances and disciplinary procedures, absence management, performance management, consultation and employee relations issues.
• Excellent IT skills
• Ability to travel regularly throughout Portugal.
• Portuguese and English speaker.
