PROJECT MANAGER Amnesty International, European Institutions Office Brussels, Belgium

Amnesty International’s European Institutions office is looking for a dynamic and skilled project manager to support the Director with the implementation of its strategic plans on human rights advocacy and campaigning at EU level. The position will be available for an 8 month period.

The Project Manager is will be responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of projects as delegated by the Director. The Project Manager, in conjunction with the Director, ensures project objectives are being progressively achieved, through monitoring, evaluating and supporting project activities. He/she reports to the Director regarding whether the project is effectively resourced within agreed parameters at all stages and is responsible for involving and consulting all relevant stakeholders. The Project Manager ensures that the relevant projects are delivered, monitored and reviewed on time, to budget and to the required quality standards. This role is an internal role which does not include an external representation component.

TASKS INCLUDE:
1. Project Management
• To monitor the implementation and progress of EU advocacy and campaigning strategies
• Convene team meetings and ensure planning for delivery of activities
• Coordination of cross-cutting outputs and activities
• Assist the Director with other related tasks as required
• Ensure delivery of advocacy and campaign related activities and events
• Ensure timely reporting and evaluation on project

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Prior experience working on EU human rights policy
• Proven ability to manage projects in an NGO context
• Excellent computer and administrative skills
• Strong communication skills and an excellent command of English
• Ability to manage varied workload effectively and conflicting demands
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Time management and prioritization skills
