The School intends to appoint a member of staff with expertise in teaching European Portuguese language and Portuguese cinema. Candidates must be educated to at least first degree level, proficient in European Portuguese, and able to teach at all appropriate levels.
The appointment is supported by the Instituto Camões and is half-time until 31 August 2015. The successful candidate must be able to take up his or her appointment from 24 September 2012. Starting salary will be in the range £33,944 – £39,936 (£16,997 – £19,968 pro rata) per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, final salary pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
