Labour Relations, Services & Safety Supervisor – VISTEON Portuguesa

Visteon Portuguesa is located in Palmela, Portugal and manufactures electronic components for the automotive industry, including Audio/Infotainment, Climate Control Heads, Instrument Clusters and Rear Seat Entertainment products;

Position Description:

Visteon Portuguesa is looking for a Labour Relations, Services & Safety Supervisor with experience in Human Recourses within the environment of Multinational companies.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:
 Responsible for labor Relations and fostering a healthy, positive employee environment and interface with all internal and external parties.
 Responsible for the Human Resources Policies and procedures Related to the management of the direct workforce.
 Responsible for company compliance on country legal requirements and company corporate policies.
 Responsible for the recruitment & hiring of the direct workforce (permanent, time limited and temporary workforce).
 Responsible for the Personal Information system, HR demographics and its internal and external reporting.
 Lead internal and external audits and certifications.
 Coordinate Safety, Security, Fire & Environment at site level.

Candidates Profile:

  • High degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent;
  • Post-graduation on specialized HR subject (preferred)
  • Minimum experience of 10 years in similar function in a multinational environment (mandatory) and preferred experience in industrial companies;
  • Fluency in English (mandatory)
  • Self-motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic.
  • Commitment to excellence, Integrity and ethics.
  • Outstanding personal leadership skills; a decisive leader willing to collaborate with staff while remaining responsible and accountable for the final decision.
  • An approachable, friendly, open and participatory style that encourages cooperation, communication and productivity.
  • Proven communication skills in both written communication and oral, in Portuguese and in English.
  • Skilled in establishing proactive relationships with employee groups based on open communication and mutual respect.
  • Embraces a culture focused on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Customer service oriented; responsive and sensitive to the needs and concerns of a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in services management (Cafeteria, Transportation, Insurances).
  • “CAP Técnico Superior de Segurança e Higiene do Trabalho” (preferred).
  • Proven experience in “Sistemas de Gestão da Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho” (OHSAS 18001).
  • Proven experience in “Sistemas de Gestão Ambiental” (ISO 14001).
